Heritage and Culture Celebration

The Angel Foundation will present its Heritage and Culture Celebration, taking place at various venues from 27 May - 29 May 2021, and featuring artists such as the renowned Marc Lottering, Dj Jazzy D, Da Lootz and the Twins on Decks.

The Angel Foundation, in its 7th year of existence, is proud to bring this one of a kind 3-day celebration starting off with a Comedy Show, headlined by Marc Lottering and hosted by the Comedian, Prins, on the 27th of May 2021 at the Civic Theatre. The 28th of May 2021 will be offering an R&B evening at E'Kays with Dj Jazzy D, and the 29th of May 2021 will create an uproar at the Lee Marco Centre with the likes of Da Lootz and the Twins on Decks at the Youth Festival.

The event is aimed at celebrating our colourful heritage and rich culture as the people of the hinterland and Mangaung. A united community is a powerful community. Together we can conquer anything!

An exciting line-up of local acts such as the Dirty Shakers and Dj Zeelow will be amongst the spectacular star-studded event.

Something to absolutely look forward to on the 29th of May 2021 is a unique soccer tournament which will be inaugurated in honour and memory of one of the Angel Foundation's co-founder, Mark Murison. The Mark Murison Soccer Tournament, will see teams battling it out in 5-a-side matches as well as a terrific legends soccer game, featuring former Bafana players against Bloem's legends.

Tickets will be R120 for the Comedy Show and R&B event respectively, and R100 for the Youth Festival. Tickets will be available at the Angel Foundation Office, at the Cairo Centre in Heidedal.

Some of the events take a hybrid form both in-person attendance and online streaming.

All Covid19 protocols will be strictly observed.

“The Angel Foundation's events are always worth the money! They bring high quality artists to our doorsteps while making a difference in our community. We wish them well and all the deserved success.”- A community member.

This event is enable by the National Arts Council and The Department of Sport, Arts and Culture.
